    Risotto Al Basilico e Gamberi

Risotto originated from northern Italy, where rice is typically grown, but our version includes elements from the south and coastal areas of Italy, where we cook it in seafood stock and garnish it with prawns. Our chefs at AQUA Forte combine the aromatic basil, sweet prawns and lemon zest to create a unique recipe.

Pair our risotto with Sauvignon Blanc from the North of Italy. Its fresh and fruity palate will complement beautifully with herbal notes of the basil, the sweetness of the prawns and the acidity of the lemon zest.

      Perfect for Lunch

At AQUA Forte, we create a unique recipe that isn’t found anywhere else in Sri Lanka! We serve the Polenta di Montagna with melted Taleggio cheese (a soft cheese imported from Italy), mushrooms and red cabbage. Besides being a delicious dish, it is also a pleasure for the eyes for the combination of different colors: yellow of the polenta, white of the cheese, brown of the mushrooms and purple of the cabbage.

Wine Pairing with Polenta di Montagna

As we know, Italian food tastes twice as great with the perfect wine pairing. We suggest pairing the Polenta di Montagna with Merlot or Pinot Noir, or any light to medium body red wine.
